Coverage on the first day of your assignment
Another perk is that your health benefits begin the moment your assignment does, with no waiting period. Once your payroll documents are submitted, you’re covered starting day one. Coverage can also extend to your spouse/domestic partner and dependents if you elect to do so.
Note that while you do have up to 31 days to make your benefit elections, enrolling early ensures you won’t have to make retroactive payments on your premiums.
Your benefits will continue without pause as long as you take no more than 31 days off between assignments. For longer breaks, you’re still eligible for COBRA continuation coverage for up to 18 months.
Medical coverage comes with options
Weatherby offers three PPO health plans designed to meet different needs and budgets: ValueCare, ChoiceCare, and SelectCare. Each plan includes varying premiums and deductibles, so you can decide whether you prefer lower monthly payments or broader coverage.

Telehealth and mental health support that travels with you
As a traveling CRNA, you’ll receive access to telemedicine and mental health support that’s easy to access wherever your assignment takes you.
You’ll receive access to CirrusMD, a telemedicine platform offering 24/7 care from board-certified physicians. It’s free for ChoiceCare and SelectCare participants, and just a $50 copay for those on ValueCare.
Weatherby also provides access to Headspace, a behavioral health and employee assistance program (EAP). This includes text-based mental health coaching, guided meditations, legal and financial counseling, and more.

401(k) contributions to help you plan ahead
As a Weatherby W-2 employee, you’ll have the option of contributing to a 401(k) plan. Administered by Fidelity Investments, the plan allows you to contribute up to 75% of your earnings, and Weatherby will match half of the first 8% you put in.
You’re eligible to contribute right away, and employer match vesting begins after one year of service.
